Attend Career Fairs

The University of Missouri sponsors several industry-specific career fairs each semester to provide employers a way to find top talent to meet your recruiting needs. Learn about upcoming career fairs and registration details here.

Conduct On-Campus Interviews

On-campus interviews help employers identify candidates early, access diverse applicants, and increase your organization’s visibility. You can find out more about the possibility of coming to campus and requesting interviews by contacting your home career office and logging into Handshake.

Information Sessions, Information Tables, and Classroom Visits

Information sessions or information tables are a great way to promote your organization’s opportunities, culture, history, structure, and employee benefits in order to engage current or future applicants. There may be opportunities to do information sessions or career chats both in person and virtually, depending on your home career office. Many members of faculty are open to employers making announcements and serving as guest lecturers in the classroom. You must first get faculty permission to do so, and should reach out to the appropriate career services office to make initial contact with faculty.

Career Workshops

Employers can conduct skill-based workshops about job search skills, participate in mock interview/resume review events, or sponsor etiquette dinners and special events set up by a career services office. These workshops and events allow students to gain firsthand knowledge from those in the industry, and the face-to-face interactions and investment of time will brand your company as an employer of choice among Mizzou students.

Sponsorship of Student Organizations

MU offers a wide variety of professional, social, and special interest organizations for student involvement. Links to these organizations and their contact information can be found on MU Engage.

Corporate Field Trips

Hosting a student group for a company site visit is a great way for you to share information about your company and help students prepare for the transition to the working world. It is also an excellent way to meet Mizzou’s top talent.
